ESR3 - TRUTHS

for Climate Workshop

27-28 June 2024 | ESA-ECSAT

Spectral and radiometric requirements

SI-Traceability of spectral observations, achieved with on-board metrology instrumentations, namely the Cryogenic Solar Absolute Radiometer (CSAR) serving a ‘golden standard’ reference.

TRUTHS will provide continuous spectra of Earth reflected, Solar and Lunar incoming radiances, with an Absolute Radiometric Accuracy of 0.3% (Goal) – 1% (Threshold).

TRUTHS will provide daily Total Solar Irradiance (TSI) measurements, spanning the 300nm – 30µm spectral range, with an Absolute Radiometric Accuracy of 0.02% (Goal) – 0.05% (Threshold).
