The Prize
The winner will receive an award worth 30,000 EUR and will be asked to join the ESA Climate Office for a three-month period as an ESA Visiting Artist.
As an ESA Visiting Artist you will meet regularly with the ESA Climate Office team and be able to work on site at ESA’s UK facility ECSAT. You will be required to visit the UK if you are not intending to be in residence throughout the three-month period.
You will further be given the opportunity to interact with scientists and engineers, and develop your initial submission into a more sophisticated concept that enables us to tell the story of how and why we monitor the Earth’s climate system from space. We encourage artistic freedom in developing the material for the symposium. Materials are expected to be covered by the award. If you anticipate exceptional material costs please detail these in the application form (see How to Enter).
