The workshop is being jointly organised by the European Space Agency and the Ministry of Economy under the auspices of the Bulgarian Presidency of the Council of the EU, and in cooperation with the European Association of Remote Sensing Companies (EARSC) and Bulgarian Academy of Science.

The workshop will gather national and local government staff, scientists, service providers in particular SMEs, young entrepreneurs and Earth observation specialists.

The workshop is organised around invited oral presentations and discussions led by moderators.

Participants are expected to finance their own travel and accommodation expenses (see also the accommodation section).

Participation will be free of charge. The working language will be English.

The workshop is being organised in coordination with the adjacently organised Copernicus event.
