Banff

Banff, Alberta is a resort town located in Banff National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains.  Banff is a popular international destination due to its spectacular surroundings, its diverse dining and shopping options, and especially because of its outdoor activities, with world-class ski resorts nearby including Mount Norquay, Sunshine Village and Lake Louise.  
The town is at an elevation of 1400 m, with typical daytime temperatures in March in the range 0 to -10° C.  Banff is located just off the Trans-Canada Highway approximately 140 km west of the Calgary International Airport (YYC), which is serviced by daily direct flights from European hubs including Amsterdam, Frankfurt and London.

Arriving by car
Please note that all vehicles in Banff require a Parks Canada Discovery pass. In 2017 these passes are free of charge to celebrate Canada’s 150th anniversary. You can pick up a free pass at the Parks Canada booths as you enter Banff National Park.
