The Cabildo of Tenerife (www.tenerife.es) is the governing council of the island. The island institution has its own powers contained in the Statute of Autonomy of the Canary Islands and other delegates from other bodies of territorial administration. It was established in March 1913, under the Law of Councils. Currently, the Insular Palace welcomes Cabildo own departments, which also has other decentralized offices in various locations and with different locations elsewhere in the metropolitan area.

Tenerife Science and Technology Park (PCTT) (www.pctt.es) is a strategic facility for newly-created companies as well as enterprises that are entering a stage of growth or expansion. PCTT is part of the Cabildo´s strategy for economic promotion & diversification, boosting innovation, and the attraction of innovative & technology based firms and investment. Therefore, our mission is to stimulate innovation activities in key sectors and encourage the creation and consolidation of technology-based companies, while our vision is to be a reference for innovation on the island, helping to strengthen the economy and competitiveness in Tenerife. PCTT is part of the overall Why Tenerife brand (http://www.whytenerife.com/) that promotes the Island abroad, together with the main public and private stakeholders of economic development & promotion.
