1. To collect lessons learnt on validation
procedures used to contribute to the quality assessment of the Copernicus
Sentinel-3 Optical and Altimetry mission.
2. To review and consolidate the Cal/Val methods
used operationally.
3. To provide a forum to report results of on-going
science activities related to the validation of Sentinel-3A and Sentinel-3B
products.
4. To collect suggestions for the establishment of
operational test sites for the Sentinel-3 Level-2 products validation.
5. To provide recommendations for ad-hoc Sentinel-3
products validation campaigns.
6. To gather the Sentinel-3 scientific and user
community and to foster cooperation and synergies among Cal/Val teams.
