A dedicated special issue (EO and Cryosphere Science) will be organised in "The Cryosphere" (TC), an international scientific journal of EGU dedicated to the publication and discussion of research articles, short communications and review papers on all aspects of frozen water and ground on Earth and on other planetary bodies.

Participants with both oral and poster contributions to the conference will be invited to submit full papers for the Special Issue (e.g., full paper versions of the extended abstracts to be published in the conferences proceedings).

Papers will be peer reviewed following the journal standards and best practices.

Estimated schedule:

• December 2012 – opening full-paper submission
• April 2013 – closure full-paper submission
• November 2013 – expected publication of special issue on TC
