• OSTST CNES/EUMETSAT Joint Research Announcement 2020

  CNES and EUMETSAT are pleased to announce that the TOSCA call for renewal of the OST Science Team for 2020-2024 is now open. A ROSES call managed by NASA and NOAA has been released on Fev 14th to select U.S. science team investigators. The TOSCA call will select international investigators (except U.S. ones).

  ESA and EUMETSAT are pleased to announce that a rolling call for membership of the Sentinel-6 Validation Team (S6VT) is now open. Please follow the instructions on the ESA EO-PI web site here. Please link “here” to the Call page at MySSPA

• First Sentinel-6 Validation Team (S6VT)

  The first Sentinel-6 Validation Team (S6VT) meeting will take place on 8 and 9 September 2020. In response to the restrictions on travel and large gatherings imposed by the Covid-19 epidemic, the Organising Committee of the first S6VT has decided to convene this meeting as a virtual meeting. We will soon be selecting daily time slots in order to optimise the participation of people abroad..

  The aim of this first meeting is to help the S6VT prepare for action by explaining planned Phase E1 activities spanning the first year of the mission. During the meeting we plan to:

• Explain Sentinel-6 products, how to access them and the planned schedule for their release;

• Consolidate S6VT activities prior to launch in order to facilitate Cal/Val activities during the Commissioning phase and prepare for the routine operations phase.
