Validate the solution to an energy challenge using earth observation data

Call for user testers to join us at the PhiWeek Bootcamp

Do you want to validate a big industry challenge using earth observation data? Apply now as a user-tester to validate the prototype a solution worked through the PhiWeek Bootcamp.

The PhiWeek Bootcamp is hosted by the European Space Agency (ESA) in the framework of Phi-Week. It is an intensive 5-day event, which guides participants through the design sprint process, answering critical questions in the design, prototyping, and testing ideas relating to Earth Observation.

40 pre-selected participants from around the world will work in teams to respond to a specific energy challenge. We are inviting a set of users to help validate the design process to evaluate a product, feature or prototype on Monday 9th September at ESA ESRIN.

What will happen?
Each interview will take just 45 mins – 1 hour at ESA ESRIN (Forcada). Then the teams will show you a product prototype and ask for your personal opinion about it. As an incentive, we will provide all selected user testers with a 25 EUR Amazon voucher following your inputs.

The final solutions will then be presented to a jury on Tuesday at ESA ESRIN (Magellan) and prizes will be given to the best prototypes, which have the potential to be commercialised. You are also welcome to join us there.

What do I do?
Apply here to become a user tester. To ensure everything runs smoothly, we ask for some information from you before we send an invitation. We plan to notify all selected user testers by 31 August to confirm which team number they will support and the time slot. We will also send more information about the product test in the same e-mail.
