2nd ESA-NASA Workshop on AI Foundation Model for Earth Observation (EO)

Draft Programme

The workshop is designed to be dynamic and participatory, featuring interactive sessions to review the importance of FM technology in different domains. The targeted audience includes ESA/NASA Principal Investigators, AI and data scientists, thematic application experts, Earth science experts, engineers, scientists and students active in the field of FMs applied to EO, climate, weather and Earth sciences. 

The event will include:

  • Plenary sessions with invited speakers, as well as panels highlighting the importance and role of FMs in EO and Earth sciences 

  • Thematic sessions (based on abstracts submissions) that will provide insights into the latest advancements 

  • Poster sessions providing a platform for participants to showcase their projects, facilitating networking and exchange of ideas 

  • Hands-on sessions to learn how to train, fine-tune, and implement them in practical applications across various domains. These sessions will be defined through an open participatory call for the community to propose and organise hands-on activities.
