Mathias Van den Bossche is Director for Research, Technologies and Product of Thales Alenia Space - the joint Space division of Thales and Leonardo. He graduated in physics at École Normale Supérieure (Paris) and holds à PhD in the field of Quantum many-body problems applied to condensed matter systems. After a few years of research in Theoretical Physics, he turned to Space industry where he successively acted as algorithm expert, systems architect (Galileo) and export programme manager. 5 years ago, he launched the roadmap on Quantum technology of the company. He is now in charge of the global preparation of its future.
