The European Space Agency (ESA) is pleased to invite you to the fifth edition of the Copernicus Sentinel-2 Validation Team (S2VT) Meeting. The S2VT meeting is a forum convened by ESA to promote the involvement of the international community for coordinating and overseeing the quantitative validation of satellite data products derived from the Sentinel-2 mission. The S2VT meeting brings together Cal/Val experts to foster cooperation and synergies among Cal/Val teams, addressing all S2 validation requirements, encompassing a large range of domains from radiometric and geometric calibration to land and water products validation as well as to support the exchanges of ideas and collaboration among the various members and to discuss potential product evolutions.
Talks will be presented by a Cal/Val community who are highly familiar with validation campaigns and methods. The recommendations gathered during the meeting will be used to improve the Cal/Val methodologies. The Sentinel-2 Earth Observation satellite constellation is developed as part of the Copernicus Programme.
It is planned to be a hybrid event, both virtual and in person with priority given to the oral speakers until the allowed maximum number is reached, COVID situation allowing it.
